Please Shut Up!!
I feel the need to share a pet gripe with you today - People Who Talk In The Cinema. If you want to talk then go to a pub, a restaurant or stay at home.
Even worse are the people who have to give a running commentary to their friends explaining what has just happened. If you do not have the intellectual capacity to understand the film, either shut up and enjoy the pretty pictures or leave (obviously I exempt parents of small children from this gripe as they usually have the decency to whisper very quietly).
And the most dire of all are the people who give away the next plot device. "See 'im, he dies inna minute" ... Thanks!
That is similar to saying "that bloke in the black 'at, he's Luke's dad, innit". Grrrrrrr!
It drives me insane. And often, when you ask them to be quiet, you just get glared at and they start talking about what a bore you are. During which time they have missed the important bit of the current scene so have to ask their mates what just happened!! ARGH!!!!!
P.S. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ... very cool, darker than the previous ones, a bit more grown up in places, some good humour, great special effects. I would recommend it ... although preferrably hire out the entire cinema so you don't have to put up with,
"Who's that bloke?"
"Dunno, think he must be ... oh you know, that one what's after 'arry."

oh rudeness - so annoying.
Can't believe we haven't seen GoF yet - hopefully will do soon.
Oh and your email arrived - I just didn't quite get round to replying yet...
Dearie me - do go and see it soon, it's fab!
Ah, that's ok - I'll let you off that. I was just worried it was floating around in the ether! hehe
How about the people who crinkle sweet papers/open fast food packets in the quietest most evocative bits destroying the mood entirely - as for popcorn - even the smell has the same effect...
Hmm it is one of my pet gripes. In fact I have stopped going to a local cinema because of the noise and also chavs (yes they are!) having pop corn fights rather than watching the film. Years ago you would have been dragged out of the cinema by the manager if you breathed!
